People might think that taking care of a roomful of children is the most stressful part of a daycare provider’s job. Though keeping a bunch of energy-filled kids calm can be tasking, I’d rather deal with that over dealing with collecting fees from parents.

While I like being paid with cash (it doesn’t bounce-lol), I like that there are more ways for parents to pay these days that makes it convenient for the both of you.

One such way is Cash App!

Use Cash App to Make it Easy for Parents to Pay

What is Cash App?

Cash App is a peer-to-peer money transfer service developed by Square Inc. that allows users to send and receive money. This service can help you receive payments from the parents and transfer it easily to your bank account. You can also use it yourself to make utility payments, pay friends back for lunch, or whatever you want to accomplish with other Cash App users. Cash App also functions similarly to a bank account, giving users a debit card — called a “Cash Card” — that allows you to make purchases using the funds in their Cash App account.

How do you send and receive money with Cash App?

Start by downloading Cash App on your smartphone. Here is my referral link-read on to learn the benefits of using mine!) The app will walk you through enrollment, where you’ll create a user account and link at least one bank account. You’ll be able to use that bank account to send money to other Cash App users as well as to transfer money from your Cash App account into your bank account. This is similar to services like Venmo and PayPal, which also allow you to link a bank account to send money; you can also hold any received funds in the app until you’re ready to withdraw them.

To send a payment:

  1. Open the Cash App mobile app.
  2. Enter the amount you want to send.
  3. Tap “Pay.”
  4. Enter the email address, phone number or “$Cashtag” (another person’s username in the app).
  5. Enter what you are sending the payment for.
  6. Tap “Pay.”

To view the details of a received payment, tap the “Activity” button. You’ll also see the money deposited into your Cash App account on the “My Cash” button, which keeps a running total of your deposited funds. You can cash out by using the “cash out” button. There is a choice of getting it right away(fee applies), or wait 2-3 days for it to transfer to your bank.

Benefits of Cash App:

No fees on basic services. I love that there are no monthly or inactivity fees. This way, you don’t have to lose any of your hard earned money to get it!

Comes with an optional free debit card. The “Cash Card” allows users to make transactions and withdraw the money that they have in their Cash App account. The card is issued by Sutton Bank and is unique to a user’s Cash App account. It isn’t connected to a personal bank account or another debit card.

Free ATM withdrawals if you set up direct deposit. Otherwise the fee is $2 to use an ATM with a Cash Card.

You receive a cash bonus for friends who join using your referral code. So, if the parent doesn’t have an account yet, you can send them your referral link and BOTH of you get $5-what a great way to get a little extra money while getting everyone set up on Cash App, WHICH will make getting payments easier!

The ability to invest. Cash App allows users to buy stock in specific companies with as little or as much money as they want to invest. Stocks can be purchased with the funds in your Cash App account; if you don’t have enough funds in the app, then the remaining amount will be taken from your linked bank account.

So, what are you waiting for? Download it today! You’ll be glad you did and you might find that parents might even start paying early!
