When preparing lunches for your daycare, make sure toddlers get  proper nutrition with a well-balanced lunch.

Here are five healthy lunch ideas for the toddlers in your daycare.

Hummus – Made from pureed chickpeas, hummus is an excellent dip for kids. It has an appealing nutty flavor, is thick enough not to be messy, and contains folate, vitamin B6, and iron. Serve hummus with cut-up vegetables or salt-free crackers for dipping, or use it to make a pita bread sandwich.

Make finger food lunch. Cut everything up in bite size pieces to make things fun. Add fruit and dairy to the bunch for all food groups.

Make it fun and colorful to eat. This is such a fun looking lunch with colored spaghetti and fruit gummies with heart shaped watermelon.
Don’t forget eggs as a protein choice! Add a vegetable and fruit to go along with some beautiful hard boiled egg slices.
