Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars: Sweet, Gooey, and Irresistibly Easy!

Craving something sweet but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen? These thick, ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookie bars are exactly what you need! They’re ridiculously easy to make, require minimal ingredients, and are done in about 30 minutes—how’s that for a quick treat? No fancy mixers, no vanilla, no sugar hunting—just simple, delicious ingredients and a whole lot of flavor. These cookie bars are a total lifesaver when you’re in the mood for something sweet but don’t feel like going all-out.

I whipped these up for the daycare and the kids devoured them! Next time, I’m thinking of adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side… how mouth-watering does that sound? These bars are also perfect for those chilly evenings when dinner’s done, and you’re looking for a little something sweet to wrap up the day. After all, what’s better than homemade dessert when it feels like nighttime at 4 PM? Whether you’re baking them for a family snack, a cozy winter night, or a holiday gathering, I can promise they’ll become your new go-to treat!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (any brand)
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a square baking pan (around 8″x8″).
  2. Melt the butter and mix it with the eggs until fully combined.
  3. Add in the yellow cake mix and stir until the dough comes together.
  4. Toss in the entire bag of chocolate chips and mix everything together.
  5. Press the cookie dough into your prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the bars cool before cutting them into squares. The longer they cool, the better they’ll hold their shape.
  8. Serve with a cold glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream for the ultimate treat!
