Do you ever have to change the sheets in the middle of the night? If you are a parent, my guess is YES. The other day I was reading about how children will wake up, in the middle of the night, because their diaper is leaking at night or they are wetting the bed at night, and how your goal needs to be to try to keep them asleep.
When it does happen… this idea will save you time during those middle of the night sheet-changes. I try not to turn on any lights or talk to our kids too much during this time, because I don’t want to stimulate them into ‘awake mode’.
Make your child’s bed in layers. The first layer will be your waterproof layer. We use a waterproof mattress pad, covered in a fitted sheet. Next, do it all over again.

- Top sheet (flat sheet) and comforter or bedspread. When your child wets the bed, you just need to remove the top layer, drop if off in the laundry room and go back to bed. No more re-make the sheet in the middle of the bed.Another tip for younger kids, is to put them in a bigger diaper. I always go up at least one diaper size at night. All of our kids are out of diapers, but they still get used them at night. our 2 year old would normally wear a size 4, but at night I put her into a size 5.I hope these tips helped!
