Finding humor in daycare

Raising Kids

Why you should read to your children 15 mins a day

I am a huge advocate for reading to children. I do alot of research on how important it is to start early learning. Parents do not realize how important it is to read to their child starting when they are infants. Read Aloud 15 Minutes  is a great source about reading.

Here is an info graphic about reading to children:

Reading Aloud 15 Minutes states that “Reading aloud is the single most important thing a parent or caregiver can do to improve a child’s readiness to read and learn”. As a daycare owner, you probably have seen the need to read to your daycare children, especially if you don’t think anything is being done at home. When you read aloud,  you help the kids’ social and cognitive development.

So, basically, in just 15 minutes you can make a difference in a child’s life.

Some Benefits of Reading Aloud:

  • Helps language development
  • Instill the love of reading
  • Build language skills
  • Gain knowledge
  • Helps with brain development

Reading for just 15 minutes daily, you will give children the skills necessary for lifelong learning.
